Introducing the RQMS Web Server

High performance surface plotting is now available through desktop web browsers with the new RQMS Web Server.  Interactive visualization enables users to evaluate huge quantities of spatially-oriented sensor data typically associated with scanning gauging systems.    Millions of data points can be retrieved and visualized in seconds.  Defect overlays will soon be added as well, enabling users to easily access all information related to product uniformity from their desktops.

The RQMS Web Server capitalizes on 27 years of experience providing high-fidelity visualization for manufacturing users in continuous web processes including paper, plastics, coating/converting, nonwovens, rubber and metals.  The application incorporates features that help identify non-conforming areas to ensure that all released materials meet the manufacturer’s specifications and customers’ expectations.  The underlying technology is not limited to these processes and can be extended to applications such as spectrophotometry that involve array-intensive data.

The deployment of the RQMS Web Server demonstrates a new technology platform for Informetric where applets can be plugged into a standard client container application.  The framework provides for interaction between context navigation panes and detailed data views.  The ability to quickly release standalone applications without having to modify the parent container promotes an agile development methodology.
